The CCSA is delighted to host an in-person Member Discussion Forum with Clarksons, “CO2 Vessel Supply and the Global Shipbuilding Picture”, on Thursday 20th June 2024.

This event will take place at the Clarksons offices, Commodity Quay, London E1W 1BF.

CCSA Member Discussion Forums are kindly hosted by a member and are open to all CCSA members. In addition to hearing the latest from the member host, there will be plenty of opportunity to network with other members. These free to attend meetings are a member benefit, so we encourage you to consider sending a representative from your organisation.

Event overview:

The event will provide an in-depth overview of the global shipbuilding sector, beginning with a presentation from the Managing Director of Clarksons Research, Stephen Gordon, which will discuss CO2 Vessel Supply and the Global Shipbuilding Picture.

The panel discussion will explore the shipbuilding mix from design to delivery, with a focus on critical components, and delving into the benefits of synchronising CCS project timelines with shipbuilding and chartering. The panellists will also discuss the need to protect key stakeholders in shipping projects, focusing on due diligence, clarity of process and intelligent decision making.

17:15 – Panel starts (45 minutes discussion + 15 minutes Q&A)

The CCSA is delighted to host an in-person Member Discussion Forum with Phillips 66 Unlocking Energy Security through CCS – Phillips 66’s vision for the Humber, on Thursday 23rd May 2024.

This event will take place at North building reception, 200-202 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4HD.

The Humber is home to some of the UK’s vital infrastructure from the UK’s only commercial scale producer of sustainable aviation fuel to power generation for millions of homes and local industry.

There is an urgency to localise supply chains, stop the offshoring of emissions, and develop infrastructure if we are to reach Net Zero.

If we are to achieve this goal, it is vital industry works closely together. We invite you to our latest panel discussion to hear about Phillips 66’s vision for the region. We will also hear from speakers that will highlight the important role of CCS to decarbonise power, support the development of lower carbon products and power, and accelerate skills.

The CCSA was delighted to host a Member Discussion Forum with GE Vernova on Thursday 28th September.

The forum will focus on the US Inflation Reduction Act and what it means for the CCUS industry, with perspectives on how the tax incentives have mobilised carbon capture in the US, and the response from the EU and the UK.

The CCSA was delighted to host a Member Discussion Forum with Slaughter and May on Thursday 15th June 2023.

The forum focused on the recent CCUS announcements from Government (phase 2, Track 1 expansion and next steps for Track 2) and looked ahead beyond Track 2 and the necessary roll-out of CCUS to meet the Government’s CCUS and net zero targets.
